F4 U.S. and F3 Americas drivers read children’s books to raise awareness for Race to Reading

INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 12, 2018) - SCCA Pro Racing joins Andy Scriven’s “Race to Reading” program to present 12 Days of Reading with F4 U.S. and F3 Americas. This program allows fans of all ages to log onto F4USChampionship.com or F3Americas.com daily to hear featured F4 U.S. and F3 Americas drivers read classic racing-inspired stories.

The program goes green Dec. 13 with Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda champion Dakota Dickerson reading “Go, Dog. Go!” written by P.D. Eastman, followed by inaugural F3 Americas Powered by Honda champion Kyle Kirkwood reading “Good Night Race Cars” by Adam Gamble and Mark Jasper. New stories and drivers will be featured daily through Dec. 25. The full schedule of books to be read can be found here or here.

The Denver Lake Norman Rotary Club created the “Race to Reading” program to memorialize Scriven and fulfill his vision of aiding children to gain access to books and develop an enthusiasm for reading. The “Race to Reading” nonprofit sets up displays filled with books at pediatric and obstetrician offices for patients to take books home or borrow while receiving care. The books read by the drivers will be donated to the nonprofit.

Donations to the program in honor of Scriven, his passion for reading and his community can be made to the Denver Lake Norman Rotary Club Foundation at DenverLakeNormanRotary.com or sent to PO Box 1972, Denver, NC, 28037.
